William "Bill" Ransom Davis, Jr. Obituary

William “Bill” Ransom Davis Jr., 83 years old, of Kokomo, passed away 9:15 am Tuesday February 24, 2026, at Community Howard Regional Health Hospital in Kokomo. He was born in Delbarton, West Virginia, on December 16, 1942, the son of the late William Ransom Davis Sr. and John Anna Mae (Maynard) Davis. On December 16, 2006, he married Constance “Connie” (Name), and she survives.

Bill was a 1960 graduate of Birch High School. He was employed at Continental Steel as a laborer and at Syndicate Sales in Kokomo. Bill was a family man who cherished time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was ultra protective of his family. He was the sweetest man, and a jokester who loved to make people laugh. He was a simple guy and never took things too seriously. Bill had a fascination with working on cars and tinkering in the garage. He was a NASCAR and car enthusiast. He had a soft spot for all animals, but especially his dog Missy.

In addition to his wife Connie, Bill is survived by his children, Sharon (Jack) Monroe, Rick (Kelli) Davis; grandchildren, Mandie (Adam) Jacobs, Brittany Keeler, Kaylan (Bryce) McGuire, Mitchell (Trista) Davis; great-grandchildren, Asher Jacobs, Joshua Sansone, Matthew Neese, Saige Keeler, Brigham McGuire, Phinley McGuire, Beauden McGuire, Brighton Davis, and baby girl Davis on the way; niece, Sandy Pettrey; and canine companion, Missy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ransom Davis Sr. and John Anna Mae (Maynard) Davis; siblings, Ella Joe Gentile, Helen Frost, Ruby Mills, Hazel Ferrell, Maxwell Parvis, and Curtis Davis.

Private family graveside will take place in Sharpsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bill’s memory to the Kokomo Humane Society.
