Patrick “Pat” Puterbaugh, 74 years old, of Peru, continued on his journey Home on April 22, 2024. He was born on November 14, 1949, the son of the late Orville and Gladys (Sebree) Puterbaugh.

Pat attended Maconaquah and Eastern High Schools. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran who was awarded the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Pat was a Patriot who loved his country but not our government. He worked at Continental Steel and later owned and operated a trucking company called Single Axle Hauling. He took great pride in a job well done. His customers loved him because along with sand and gravel he delivered great stories. Pat was very social, he had a great sense of humor, no subject was taboo, no one was spared.

Pat was passionate about music and attended countless concerts back in the day like Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Led Zepplin, Deep Purple, and Uriah Heep. He was well read and informed on a variety of subjects including natural supplements and herbs.

Pat and Lana (Duff) Burnette met in 1985 and had a strong, loving marriage for 38 years. Together they raised three sons, Bo, John, and Cole. Pat was a great father and was involved in his children’s activities from coaching baseball to riding dirt bikes and everything in between. He will be deeply missed.

Pat is survived by his wife, Lana; sons, Ric (Michelle) Burnette, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Cole Puterbaugh, Peru; brother, Mike Puterbaugh; sister, Nancy Troyer; sister-in-law, Pam Enright; brother-in-law, Jerry Wren; grandchildren, Kory (Haley) Burnette, Clay Burnette, Madison Burnette, and Lanie Prater; great-grandchildren, Hadlee, Hudson, and Hayes; and several nieces and nephews.
